Hi! I'm a mom of two, passionate about food & the outdoors. I don't go many days without a little (or a lot of) fresh air. I believe we all have a strong connection to nature, but for some, it can be easily lost. For me, nature is a necessity, a life force, the source of all substance. A natural environment is where we humans, like many other things on this planet, thrive. My mission with Root-Ed is to nurture that connection in those who are just discovering it and to re-connect those who may have strayed.
Beyond the force of nature is the force of people & relationships. Each day I learn more the value of strong ties to those around us. Anyone and everyone is a supporter, an educator and a friend to us all, guiding us through our own self-discovery.
I am trained in child development & education and community development via Tinkergarten. I am a “foodie” and see strong value in involving kids in real life skills. This is why preparing and sharing food together is such a big part of my home community and the communities here at Root-Ed.

Caitlin is a mom of two and can often be found exploring local parks/playgrounds with her littles. Caitlin has a Bachelors in early child development from Rochester College. She has worked in the field of early childcare since 2003 as a director and field educator for a child care center as well as as a teacher of infant through school-aged children. As a homeschool parent and Tinkergarten nature teacher she enjoys connecting and building community with other nature loving families in the neighborhood. She is passionate about hands-on play and making meaningful connections via learning through exploration.

Hi! My two kiddos and I love adventure and being outside. We feel a strong connection to nature and creation, and our greatest growth happens there. While we love traveling and exploring new places, we also find a lot of fulfillment in the simplicity of spending time near home and with our community. I love gardening and making nourishing foods for my family. I have experience in childhood education and fitness instruction which have given me valuable knowledge about how children thrive best.
